Basement Reno – It’s Done! Weeks 7-9
Happy belated new year! (Can I still say that in February???) We are finally done our basement reno! Actually we were done awhile ago but with my husband’s business trips, cleaning up the space and well just some general procrastinating, this post has been super delayed! I’ll be posting the finished bathroom/kitchenette/media room gym etc in the coming months. If you follow me on instagram @homewithb, you’ve probably already all the updates.
Today’s post is just an update on the completed space overall. Basically lots of pictures of the unfurnished space. Stay tuned for more posts coming up in the following months.
Overall it was an awesome experience as we lucked out on the contractor. We had a great rapport with him, and although we didn’t always see eye to eye, I valued his expertise, and he was also open to our ideas.
I can’t wait to share our completed space, furnished and settled.

Kitchenette. At this point I was still waiting for the wall sconces and coutnertops. 
Bathroom before the counters went in. Also check out the shower accent tile, I just love how it turned out!

Love this bathroom vanity!! My wife and I are currently renovating our master bath and looking for vanities and this one really caught our eye. Could you tell me where your purchased it from? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you

He there Sam, thank you so much! I’m very happy as well how it turned out! So vanity was custom made. I had a hard time finding one I liked from the big box stores, such as Home Depot ( I’m in Canada btw). So we went to a local cabinet maker and they came and took measurements. We picked the color, it’s Benjamin Moore Hale Navy and the hardware as well. It’s not as expensive as you may think to go custom. You can get several quotes. Oh this year however I did see Home Depot carry different colors. Doesn’t hurt to check it out as well. The faucet is from Delta ordered thru Amazon. Let me know if you any more questions! Good luck!

Thanks so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. I figured it was custom cause there seems to be nothing around in the stores that is similar as you mentioned. Do you mind telling me how big your vanity is? Is it 60 inches wide?

Hey yes of course no problem at all. The vanity is approx 60 inches. My husband just said last week at Home Depot they did have one very similar, I think the style is becoming more popular. Maybe try looking on their site?? No prob at all if you need more info. I have the specs of the cabinet as well.

The renovation looks great! I love your bathroom! It’s beautiful! Did you use gold or brass finishes for the light fixture, faucet, etc?

Thank you so much! So they are mostly brass finishes, but they don’t all match but it all works together. The sconces are from Wayfair, the faucet is from Delta faucet in champagne gold and I got the matching towel bar from Delta as well. I did take the faucet with me and match the cabinet hardware because who knew brass comes in so many shades. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi there! Thank you. The 9 x 16 ft however it narrows down to about 6ft where the treadmill is. It’s an odd shaped room, but taping will help for sure! Good luck!

Hi there! Thank you so much and no problem at all. The sconces are from Wayfair they are the Tyrone 1 light in the brass finish. The mirror is from West Elm and it’s the Metal Round Mirror 30″ in Antique Brass. They go perfectly together! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Love this! What color paint did you use in the bathroom? Currently doing a total home remodel and have dark navy cabinets and love the grey paint on the walls!

Hi there!! Thank you so much. The color I used is Benjamin Moore Silver Mist. It’s a light light gray blue. I love it!
