Spring 2020 One Room Challenge – Week Three

Welcome to the week where I literally twiddled my thumbs and procrastinated a tad. Stay at home orders has me in such a bind when trying to work on Zayna’s room.

It’s also the month of Ramadan so with fasting and priorities elsewhere, we’ve made little progress.

Since we are home, we were able to buy some items online. As of right now we are waiting on the headboard to arrive, it’s supposed to be light blue but after seeing more recent reviews it looked more gray. Ugh, I really can’t choose paints etc until I see the headboard in person, and I’m not sure if I’ll keep it if the color doesn’t work out.

In terms of design for the room, I considered the different zones she needs, like sleeping, studying and lounging. All the things that a growing teenager would need, including being able to accommodate her sisters or friends that may come over.

The ONE thing we did do was clean out Zayna’s closet. Well start to anyways. The closet will remain the same, in terms of organizer etc, however we do plan on adding a fun color in here, stay tuned! Also clearly this is the BEFORE pic, I don’t yet have a closet ready for a post!
